Pontooning

I know many of you have already heard this story, but it is just too good not to tell again. 

On Saturday at the cabin, we went pontooning with a few cousins.

 Dad was going to let us all take turns with driving when all of a sudden the motor stopped.

WE RAN OUT OF GAS!

We put the anchor in the water, but it was soo windy, the anchor was not holding us

 & we started to drift towards shore.

Mom & Molly flagged down another boat to go back & get us gas.

Her is the best part:  Dad had to take off his shoes & pants & jump in the water to

 guide us to shore & make sure we didn't hit anything.

  The fellow boater that we flagged down finally brought us more gas.

 We filled up & headed back to the cabin.

This was definitely one pontoon boat ride I won't forget.  In fact, when mom dropped me off at school this morning, I couldn't wait to tell all my friends & teachers about our adventure.

It was a long drive, but we made it to the Cabin.

It is just fantastic up here! (Yes, I really say things that)

I hope to post an update or two while we are here, But I just might be having too much fun fishing, swimmimg & boating to hop on the computer.

Strawberry picking 2012

Hi everybody,

This past Saturday the family went  Strawberry picking :)

You may remember our strawberry adventures from  2 years ago...2010 strawberry picking. 

This time the weather was perfect,  warm with a light breeze.  We were lucky enough to be able to picking on the first day of the season in new strawberry beds - these were the best strawberries!

We started out on a wagon ride out to the field.

They showed us where to pick & we got started!

Man, these are nice berries!

Juice too!

I couldn't help myself but to eat a few while we were picking.

Mom had a few too.

When our box was full, we walked out of the field & headed back to the pick up spot the take us back to our cars.

One we got home, we cleaned & washed the berries.

And ate a few more...

Down Town School

Hi all,  Today I went to down town school.

This past weekend I hung out with my cousins quite a bit...

Saturday afternoon we went to the park to burn off some energy.

  And we're off...

 We hung from the rings,

 Played Hide & Seek

  & ran an obstacle course.

 Mom got all creative with taking photos of the playground equipment

 Look, there were monkeys at the park too!

 Finally, a quick snap shot with Grandma & Grandpa.

Dairy Breakfast in Wisconsin

This weekend I went to the Wisconsin Dairy Breakfast with Mom, Grandma & Grandpa.

 It was a long line, so we waited & waited...

 One of my favorite things was the polka band who entertained us while we waited to eat.

 After we ate, we got to walk around and see a bunch of stuff.  Like a llama,
(I knew I should have stayed in my Red Pajamas!)

 a miniature donkey (Grandma wanted to take him home with her)

 a calf,

 a goat,

baby chicks,

 Hi baby duck!

 There was a miniature farm yard with many buildings and a ton of farm equipment -

 It is a little boys dream to play with all

the fun farm toys.

We walked around more & saw some cows,

  and more cows.

 We got a nice ride on a horse drawn buggy where we got to see a nice view...

 Woopsy, I meant this is nice view... up on the ridge, you can see for miles.

 Just before we left, I got to climb on this giant combine... I especially like it because it is my favorite color!
