Bats & Ghosts

We are already thinking about Halloween here...

I think I know what I'm going to dress up as & we are starting to decorate.

We recently used egg cartons to make Ghosts & Bats.

For the Ghosts, we just used individual little egg holders & painted them white.

 For the Bats, we used 3 egg holder sections, cut the end 2 sections to look like

 bat wings & painted them black.

 Oh Geez - I got some paint on me!

 Add Googely Eyes

 Hang & Enjoy the spookiness.

Pop -Up Camper

You may know I have a bit of a camper obsession...

Auntie Debbie & Uncle Todd both have these wonderful vintage camper sets.

Uncle Todd is letting me borrow his set for a little bit.

 I just love campers!!!

 They are all loaded up, ready to drive thru the woods,

to get to their campsite by the lake.

 Let's set up Camp!

Build a Fire Truck Class

Today I went to a build it class today at Lowe's  We made a fire truck!

 There was a lot of hammering.

 Only one small casualty

Add stickers  & see the fun finished product.

Story time at the Library

On Monday nights, I enjoy story time at the Library.

When the weather is nice, they read us books outside.

Dino Eggs

On one if the last hot days of summer,

 we played with Dino Eggs.

Take little dinosaurs & balloons,

Carefully put dinos inside balloons.

These were Dad's dinos when he was a kid!

Fill with water...

 Careful for pointy edges  - they don't work so well for this project.

 Freeze

Peel

And enjoy in your water table.

Moon Sand

What does 8 Cups Flour & 1 Cup Baby Oil give you???

This fun, clumpy, messy powder that is great for my diggers & dump truck to work in.

 Like I said, it's messy...definitely an outside activity.

Mom made this moon sand a few weeks ago & it is still good. 

We just cover it up at night with a sheet to keep the bug out.

Thrashing Show 2012

THEY ARE THE SAME TRACTOR! Don't believe me? Look at the chipped paint on the yellow knobs! How did I ever manage to find the same tractor 2 years in a row to have my photo taken on??? There are literally thousands of tractors there & I pick the same 2 :)

And of course, my Fav, good old Green & Yellow John Deere tractors.

There was an old fashioned saw mill ( Uncle Brad held on to me tight)

Auntie Kari got a souvenir board

there were all kind of cool antiques...

Papa & Grandma were there too.

 but do you know, the best part of it all was at the flea market, I found 2 campers!
