First Grade Update - DAY 1

My first day was good.  But when I got home I was a little out of control - maybe it was because I was a little tired since I woke up at 2:30 Tuesday morning.

My teacher sent an e-mail (I think she sent one to all parents) that I had a great day, played with many friends, was excited to participate in activities & asked a lot of questions!

I hated the school lunch, but Mom & Dad convinced me to try it a few more days to decide what meals I do & do not like.

The favorite part of my day was recess where we played Freeze Tag.

Quote of the day "Mom, next week homework starts, So good luck with that" (I said with a total attitude).

I woke up this morning & wanted to walk to school... (maybe we'll try that on Friday) and I'm excited for gym class today.

I made 2 this summer...

The first is a "fire works" shirt.  I used a pipe cleaner & fabric paint.

The second was using my baseball t-shirt & tie dyeing it with a kit from Target.

Duluth Vacation

Hi Everyone,   

I recently got back from a family vacation to Duluth.  

It was perfect weather & we had a ton of fun!

The first day we watched big ships come & go.

 I also played along the rocky beach, tossing in a few rocks.

 The water was a balmy 59 degrees!

 The next day we headed up to Enger Tower & got a birds eye view of the city.

 Mom & I even climbed to the top of the tower

 We went on a train ride & a boat ride.

 Our tour took us under the bridge!

 The last day we crossed the Blatnik Bridge into Wisconsin & went to Pattison Park to see a waterfall.

 This is the big one.

It was a great summer vacation!
